For this experiment, I took as a starting point a project I had done in the last trimester of the past academic year, where we developed some devices for an energy-less scenario. One of the objects was a home-made gramophone, built with very simple pieces. I wanted to re-do the object, but focusing on deconstructing and evidencing the process of making, inviting people to make it themselves, with their own adaptations.

This experiment has as an objective to deconstruct a process of vernacular making, and finding a way of making it public. On this case, the medium used was the most obvious and available one: the internet. When I did it, I did not expect much visitors, for I just wanted to broadcast it, but I was gladly surprised when, two weeks later, I received nearly 3,000 visits, 200 likes and 12 comments; this participation made the experiment relevant, in the context of making things public. At start, I was not very positive on the possible feedback from people but, to my surprise, the simplicity of the tutorial engaged people in different levels. This can be evidenced on the type of comments, which which do not evidence professional or technical knowledge, but merely intuition.
